The catchy, animating to swing-along track was originally performed by famous British rockers SLADE in 1973.
Guitarist Aeilko states: “We updated it into a HARDLAND sound with a capella intro and Beatle-esque vocal middle section. We asked and got permission from SLADE after sending them the rough mix of our version. They loved it. To us this is the only Christmas song that matters, that’s why we picked it.”
The track is taken from the band’s upcoming, fourth full-length album “Rage Of War” that will be out on January 15, 2021 via ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records!
OCTOBER CHANGE’s music can be described as an eclectic blend of symphonic, industrial and gothic metal, fused together with some electronic influences. The female vocalist delivers vocals that go from clean, more classic inspired to more powerful dark vocals. The result is a unique and variable sound that has the ability to reach beyond metal-music-lovers.
Active since 1999, ANAEL have seen ephemeral waves and trends come and go, by just sticking to their very own, unique way of forging their dark Metal arts. Epic, majestic, atmospheric at times, the fourth full-length “Mare” marks the final part of an album cycle dedicated to the four elements. Water is the central topic of this latest effort, having been recorded in December 2019 in FiveLakes Studio near Munich.
