Reverie

Welcome February, it is a pleasure to see you. It is sad that you always leave a bit earlier than the others but it is good that you are here now!
New month, new things to focus on.

And to start the month good I bought myself a little present. I have worked hard enough for it so now the joy of having something new is there. My brother called it a grenate launcer. Referring to my other lens (canon.. to stay with the theme) which he called the bazooka. I just smile and think nothing more than: ‘good, be impressed’. For that’s what they do, these red lined L’s And of course it is fancy to be walking around with and being quite like… Look at me… I ve got the L’s but it is the things you get out of it that makes me really shine. Did a quick round at the newly opened National Military Museum in our village. I waited 6 weeks for that.. because I did not want to walk in the crowds there and since I had a good reason, the day was there that I went to have a look.
I must say, I liked the old one better. More cozy. This is large and empty. And sunny. Which makes it hard to see the objects in the afternoon as the sun is blinding people. And I truly missed the photo’s they had in the old museum. Especcially that one of “my” city Rotterdam after it got bombed. It always brought up the tears in my eyes. And that is exactly why these photo’s were such a great part of it.

Who knows, maybe they will expand some more after all. At least I had the time to play a bit with the new lens. Here some photo’s:
